Head of Line Maintenance

Overview
We are seeking a Head of Line & Light Maintenance to join the Maintenance & Engineering department of a globally known airline based in Europe. As the Head of Line & Light Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing daily and short-term maintenance activities to ensure the safety and reliability of the airline’s fleet. This role requires a strong, people-focused leader who can guide a large team of technicians in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Act as a Nominated Person for P-145 (NP-145) in accordance with aviation regulations
- Oversee all line and light maintenance activities within the airline’s M&E department, ensuring the fleet’s safety, reliability, and operational efficiency
- Manage resource allocation, foster innovation, and lead a high-performing team while collaborating closely with various stakeholders
- Align maintenance activities with business requirements, regulatory standards, and operational goals
- Supervise a team of 235 - 270 FTE

Qualifications
- University degree (Master degree) in Aeronautics Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, with at least 5 years of leadership experience
- Excellent knowledge of EASA Part 145 and EASA Part CAMO regulations and Quality Management
- Proven management experience, collaborative team player with strong leadership, conflict management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and MRO software (AMOS)
- Proficient in Dutch and English (verbal and written); French is a plus

Day-to-day
- Supervising all line and light maintenance services, including aircraft, sheet metal, aircraft cabin, and appearance
- Ensuring compliance with NP-145 requirements and EASA Part-145 standards
- Managing resource allocation and subcontracting of services- Initiating and implementing modernization and lean initiatives- Fostering cross-departmental partnerships and maintaining a strong focus on fostering positive collaboration with unions
