AAP Aviation is now looking for a flexible HR Manager with broad/generalist HR experience to be responsible for running the company’s daily HR operations in UK/Ireland. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility of working from the comfort of your own home. 

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a home-based environment, enjoys managing their time independently, and is committed to staying connected with a dynamic team. As a virtual team player, you’ll be collaborating with colleagues and clients alike through various digital platforms, making strong communication and cooperation skills essential to succeed in this position. 

The HR Manager will cooperate closely with the HR/Operations management team in Scandinavia. The position involves travelling.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the HR service for the UK & Ireland to ensure a competent support function for the company and clients on any matters relating to staff employment, liaising with the relevant associations as appropriate.
  • Provide professional UK & Irish HR advice service for AAP Aviation and clients in accordance with agreed company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation (UK and Irish law), always maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards.
  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to termination.
  • Handle, follow up and provide support in employee relations cases, disciplinary-, capability- and grievances cases, as well as sick leave follow-up/ processes.  
  • Prepare and complete all daily/monthly operational duties within the HR Department, including updating employee data in relevant IT systems, provide inputs and coordinate with payroll department, pension enrollments etc.
  • Liaise as appropriate with the relevant associations i.e. HMRC, Irish Revenue, Pension providers etc.
  • Advise and support employees and management on all areas related to HR.  
  • Provide regular communication with all staff on any HR-related matters and associated updates.
  • Policy/process development-, revision-, and implementation.
  • Build consistent working relationships with both employees and clients, demonstrating reliability and efficiency.
  • Communication and follow-up with relevant unions, incl. representing the company in union negotiations.
  • Assist with recruitment both locally and internationally, for various clients. 

Qualifications and Experience:  

  • Preferably a master’s degree within HR or organizational psychology. Minimum a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related fields. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within HR.  
  • Strong knowledge or UK and/or Irish employment legislation
  • Strong experience in absence follow-up, handling employment relations processes, as well as disciplinary processes, grievances and case work.
  • Experience with union communication/negotiations is considered an advantage.
  • Experience from the aviation industry is considered an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written in English.

  • IT skills; Office 365 and general system understanding.
