H.R. Training and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator
 
Job Description 
CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. CTL specializes in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures.
 
We are seeking a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as Human Resource (HR) Training and EHS Coordinator at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).
 
This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs for employees within CTL. This role involves collaborating with management in identifying the training needs of employees, creating/maintaining curriculum & training materials, delivering engaging training sessions, tracking employee training progress, and evaluating the effectiveness of programs to ensure employees acquire the necessary skills to succeed in their roles. Additionally, this position will serve as an EHS Coordinator assisting the EHS Manager on OSHA and EPA compliance. requires maintaining a curriculum database. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
 
Job Requirements
Training:
  • Conduct analysis to identify training gaps and areas where employees need development, collaborating with department heads and HR to understand specific requirements. 
  • Develop customized training programs, materials, and curriculum that address identified skill gaps and are aligned with company objectives.
  • Facilitate training sessions, either in-person or online, using various instructional methods like presentations, simulations, and hands-on exercises. 
  • Measure the success and impact of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance reviews. Adjust training strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training, monitor progress, and ensure all mandatory training is completed.
  • Maintain updated curriculum database.
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure training programs align with business goals and employee development needs.
  • Keep up to date with industry’s best practices and trends in training and development to continuously improve training effectiveness.
  • Source e-learning training solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, venue booking, and participant registration.
  • Ensure training programs adhere to relevant industry regulations and company policies. 
  • Communicate available training to employees and providing necessary information about sessions
  • Work with stakeholders across departments to promote training opportunities and address training concerns. 
  • May assist with other HR functions, such as employee relations and company events.
  • Miscellaneous projects and assignments as needed.
EHS:
  • Collaborate with the EHS Manager to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs.
  • Assist the EHS Manager in conducting detailed investigations of existing and potential safety and health hazards by making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation.
  • Coordinate with EHS Manager on all Safety, OSHA, and EPA compliances
  • Assists in managing permits, reports, and applications for EPA.
  • Help develop and conduct employee safety training programs.
  • Participate in conducting monthly safety training sessions.
  • Serve as back up to the EHS Manager.
Job Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, training, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Natural born US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must speak English. Bilingual in Vietnamese or Nepalese a plus.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
