IT Manager

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking an Information Technology Manager for an incredible full-time role in Dubai.

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of IT, including strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. The role ensures that IT processes align with business objectives to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Identify and assess emerging technologies.
  • Maintain a long-term IT roadmap.
• Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, such as networks, servers, and storage.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems.
  • Implement disaster recovery and continuity plans.
• Systems and Applications:
  • Manage the selection and maintenance of software applications.
  • Oversee system upgrades and migrations.
  • Ensure system performance and availability.
• Cybersecurity:
  • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and apply necessary safeguards.
  • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the IT team.
  • Hire, train, and set performance expectations for staff.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage IT strategic plans, policies, and programs.
• Ensure the integrity of company data and systems.
• Develop plans to meet IT needs and establish operating policies.
• Evaluate IT operations and recommend improvements.
• Advise management on system conversions and integrations to meet business goals.
• Prepare objectives and budgets for efficient data processing and management.
• Interact with company managers on operations impacted by the capture, storage, processing, and dissemination of information.
• Review and approve major contracts for IT services and equipment.
• Ensure the security of information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
• Oversee development, design, and implementation of new applications and updates to existing systems.
• Responsible for developing and certifying all backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies into the company.
• Assess new technologies for their potential value to the business.
• Oversee ongoing system improvements and feasibility studies for enhancements.
• Establish infrastructure to support divisions in their IT efforts.
• Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
• Assist in selecting IT solutions to enhance business processes and security.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience in a senior-level IT role.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
• Experience with IT project management and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
