Explore your next role:
As a key member of our Avionics Department, the Lead hand requires hands-on involvement and collaboration with supervisors within the Maintenance department to meet business needs.
- Coordinate Avionics activities including major and minor modifications, routine inspections and repairs, and defect rectification, associated with assigned Aircraft projects.
- Collaborate with various departments within the Company to ensure execution of on-aircraft workflow is accomplished to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
- Assign work to and mentorship of ACAs, AMEs, and Technicians associated with assigned Aircraft projects.
- Maintain communication between yourself, the Avionics Supervisor, and the applicable Project Supervisor regarding project progress and various support and coordination requirements.
- Uphold and enforce company safety programs and policies to mitigate injury to employees and damage to aircraft.
- Adhere to established procedures for the upkeep and safety of the Company’s facilities and equipment.
- Perform and document scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance as required by Transport Canada, the manufacturer, and Voyageur’s policy and procedures.
- Ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness, and company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Voyageur’s Safety Management System including reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations and understand and promote the Company’s safety culture.
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
- Must hold a valid company ACA privilege.
- 5 years of working experience as ACA
- Valid AME license (Category E)
- Comfortable and capable of leading a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the knowledge, ability, and willingness to provide mentorship and guidance to ACAs, AMEs and Technicians.
- Ability to identify problems with installation drawings and recommend appropriate amendments as required.
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
- Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
