For a renowned company in the Netherlands (Schiphol), you will be the key figure in ensuring an efficient and effective supply chain. Through data analysis, you will design a dashboard that leads to an optimized distribution process. This results in cost savings, high customer satisfaction, and readiness for future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analysis of Logistics Processes:

• Investigate existing logistics systems, such as transport, storage, and distribution.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the supply chain.

2. Improving Supply Chain Efficiency:

• Develop strategies to reduce transportation costs, optimize inventory management, and shorten delivery times.
• Automate or enhance existing processes.

3. Data Analysis:

• Analyze large datasets related to transport, inventory, and production.
• Utilize tools such as Excel, ERP systems, BI software, or logistics software.

4. Setting and Monitoring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

• Define measurable goals such as delivery timeliness, inventory turnover, and cost per unit.
• Report on the performance of logistics processes.

5. Collaboration with Internal and External Stakeholders:

• Coordinate between various departments (e.g., procurement, production, and sales) and external parties (e.g., suppliers and carriers).
• Assist in negotiations with transport companies or warehouse services to secure better terms.

6. Forward Planning:

• Identify trends and potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., shortages, rising transport costs).
• Develop solutions for future challenges, such as sustainable logistics or managing seasonal fluctuations.

Practical Duties

The logistics analyst will work on tasks including:

• Optimizing warehouse layouts and picking strategies.
• Planning and optimizing transportation routes.
• Conducting cost analyses of logistics processes, such as fuel consumption or personnel costs.
• Simulating alternative logistics models.
• Advising on new technologies, such as automation or robotics.

Requirements
