The Role

The Falkland Islands Government Air Service provides an essential inter-island passenger and freight service as well as aerial surveillance of the fishery conservation zone around the islands.


As the Maintenance and Continued Airworthiness Manager you will be required to lead and manage an established maintenance team responsible for the maintenance and airworthiness of the fleet of BN Islander aircraft. 

The Person

Applicants will ideally hold an UK/EASA B1.2 Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence (FAA/IA Transport Canada licences might be accepted and will be treated on a case-by-case basis) with preferably at least 10 years’ post qualification experience, 5 years of which are in a middle/senior management role, Type Rated on BN2B Islander aircraft, and Lycoming 0-540 Engines.  The applicant will be sufficiently experienced to be a nominated post holder. The Package

  • 2 Year Fixed Term Contract, with potential for extension by mutual agreement.

  • Salary Range £56,716 – £85,131; starting salary will be dependent upon experience.

  • Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity, paid upon successful completion of the contract.

  • 30 Days’ Annual Leave, plus government and public holidays (totalling 41 days’ leave).

  • Relocation Allowance to help with moving costs.

  • Flights Package for you and your dependants

  • Government Housing for rent and a starter pack to help you get settled in.
