Production Planner

JMC are working with a MRO company based in Newquay, looking to recruit a new Production Planner to join their team.  This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.

This is a Permanent Position based in Newquay.

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (7:30am - 3:30pm)

The Role

• Timely and accurate processing of Customer supplied work package paperwork into a format that can be utilized within the maintenance environment.
• Full assessment of customer supplied work pack to produce a fully engineered work pack including tooling requirements and external agency organisation.
• Import of Customer supplied work package into Company computer system.
• Ensure all associated maintenance data, referenced proformas, cross reference documents and drawings are attached to the relevant work package.
• Through 145 production planning, identify key milestones including parts and tooling/resource requirements for planned maintenance.
• Ensure manpower levels are adequate and acceptable to accomplish the required workload.
• Identifying third party requirements such as NDT, aircraft reweighs, exterior cleaning.
• To ensure that scheduling of tasks considers Human Factors issues.
• Identifying safety critical tasks
• Ensure all late additions to work packages are raised correctly and entered on the pack index.
• Carry out a 100% audit of completed paperwork to ensure it is complete.
• Scanning of completed work packages and return to Customer (as required and withinagreed SLA guidelines).
• Supporting Check Manager(s) during maintenance inputs.
• Work with the Check Manager in carrying out procedural audits during maintenance
• Arrange and chair pre-input meetings.

Skills and experience required:

In order to be successful in this role the Production Planner will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Extensive experience in the Aerospace/Engineering/Manufacturing/Construction sectors.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to Aircraft Maintenance.
• Previous experience in a P145 planning environment preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of reporting tools, i.e. Excel, Word, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Right to live and work in the UK
