Position: Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Location: Williamsport, PA (on-site)

Hours- 3pm-11PM (core hours) 

About the Role:

As a Production Supervisor at Spartronics, you'll play a pivotal role in assisting in the planning, organizing, and direction of the manufacturing function within the facility to ensure that products are produced with the highest level of quality at the lowest cost and delivered to the customer on time. The supervisor serves as an integral part of the manufacturing department leadership team in assuring coordination of efforts of the department in providing safety, quality to customers, production schedules, and goal attainment. What a Typical Day Looks Like:

• Lead and flex the manufacturing organization through the review of work priorities and production schedules to meet daily, weekly, monthly customer sales order requirements.
• Monitor employee job performance such as quality, productivity and attendance.
• Prioritize assignments to ensure the timely completion of work.
• Review the work of staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to instructions.
• Responsible for quantity and quality of work performed by operators
• Ensure goals are met across the production floor
• Work with Materials, Quality, Human Resources, and others as required. Prepare plan to overcome any identified constraints.
• Establish parameters for each production operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead-times. Maintain routing and labor parameter information in the ERP system.
• Perform backflushing of shop orders upon build completion to consume material and move final assemblies to the appropriate final location.
• Ensure all manufacturing employees are properly trained and cross-trained as required.
• Hold daily stand-up meetings for your shift, discussing the days activities, yesterdays wins/losses, goals, quality, safety and shipments.
• Attend all necessary meetings concerning production matters.
• Encourage and nurture a culture of continuous improvement activities such Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Monitor written polices, processes, and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of the manufacturing operation. Follow all policies and procedures in a legal and ethical manner.
• Interface with all support functions to ensure that products are produced with the highest level of quality at the lowest cost and delivered to the customer on time.
• Ensure that employee relations issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Ability to multi-task handling many different situations at one time.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under difficult circumstances.
• Willing to adapt and implement change.
• Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Be self-motivated and able to manage their time well with a willingness to provide hands on leadership.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Experience We're Looking for to Add to the Team:

• Safety: Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.
•  HS Diploma required, BA in relevant field preferred 
• 4-6 years of previous experience in a related position and industry.
• Experience in assembly-type manufacturing a plus
• Ability to lead and manage a dynamic team of individuals.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Excel.
