(Note:  This position is based at our Hudson, Ohio location)  


Quality Assurance has primary responsibility for development and maintenance of production quality standards and documentation.  This includes, but is not limited to; defining quality requirements for new products and preparing/maintaining necessary documentation, monitor production quality performance to identify opportunities for improvement, review and maintenance of quality files, procedures, work instructions, etc. for relevance and adherence to Aerox Quality System, customer and regulatory compliance.   This role is responsible for performing receiving, in-process, and final inspection of processes and products.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Draft, edit, revise and update as necessary all documents associated with the Quality System, and Quality Manual.

· Ensure that processes needed for the Quality System are established, implemented and maintained. 

· Maintain and report on the performance of the Quality System and any need for improvement. 

· Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. 

· Administration of Calibration program. 

· Administration of Corrective Action Request system and Customer Complaints.

· Administration of Supplier Selection and Control process

· Control of quality related documents and records as defined in the Quality Manual and the quality procedures. 

· Keeps Management fully apprised of significant occurrences and trends that impact the quality of product or manufacturing operations. 

· Anticipates current and future issues and develops plans and actions to minimize the negative impact.

· Completes FAIR’s prior to new product introduction

· Manage quality scrap transactions in MRP system.

· Read and interpret specifications and part prints.

· Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies in accordance with Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.

· File all Quality Assurance article/material history records.

· Perform first article inspections to support article qualification processes.

· Communicate requirements for various documentation to suppliers.

· Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required.

· Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to those findings.

· Upload and review information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs.

· Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished articles. Ensure that all product have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.

· Conduct in-coming, in-process, and final inspections of Aerox procured or manufactured products and processes.

· Prepare registered articles for presentation to Federal Aviation Administration designees.

· Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection issues. Communicate with project engineers to ensure articles and processes are in compliance with the final product.

· Maintain the maintenance and calibration program for all Aerox M&TE and applicable process equipment using a computerized Gagetrak program or equivalent. As well as coordinating the scheduling and performance of calibration and maintenance with Aerox suppliers.

· Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.

· Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.

· Actively participate in companywide process initiatives as they are implemented.

· Perform other additional duties as assigned by Quality and Operations supervisors. 

· Continuously improve customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A high school degree is mandatory, an Associates degree in a Technology or Applied Sciences program is preferred.
  • Three to five years of work experience in a related field, and/or a combination of education and work experience preferably      in the aerospace, however automotive, medical appliances, construction equipment, or similar engineered product will be considered
  • Ability to use and read basic inspection and metrology tools including, but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height gauge, thread gauge, gauge pins, multimeter, gauge blocks, etc.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high paced and exciting environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident in accordance with ITAR Policy
