Quality Engineer

JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Manchester, looking to recruit a new Quality Engineer to join their team.

This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications, fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.

This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester, UK.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure full compliance with existing MRP Part 145 and national regulations and remain continually aware of any changes to the regulations.

Other Duties Involve

• Assisting the Quality Manager with production and implementation of the Part 145 audit programme
• Carrying out and report on planned and unplanned safety and compliance audits
• Ensuring the adequate and appropriate closure of audit findings with respect to root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions within the timescales as identified
• Compiling submissions for MOE revisions as required including Form 3 submissions

In order to be successful in this role the Quality Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes

• Detailed knowledge of EASA/MRP Part 145 and its practical application
• Knowledge of Boeing MEDA process
• Current in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) training
• Previous auditor experience in an aviation environment desirable
• Understanding of the staff certification authorisation process
• Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Right to live and work in the UK
