QMS/Inspector

Job Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist in Aerospace Manufacturing, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in the production of aerospace components. Your role will involve implementing and overseeing quality control processes to meet industry regulations and uphold the company's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control in Aerospace Processes:
    • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on aerospace components, ensuring compliance with industry specifications and standards.
    • Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  2. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain meticulous records of quality inspections and tests for aerospace components.
    • Ensure strict adherence to aerospace industry regulations and certifications (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
  3. Supplier Quality Management:
    • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain stringent quality standards for raw materials and components.
    • Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements.
  4. Process Improvement and Innovation:
    • Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement in aerospace manufacturing.
    • Implement innovative quality control measures to enhance the precision and reliability of aerospace components.
  5. Testing and Validation:
    • Develop and execute validation protocols for aerospace components, including environmental and performance testing.
    • Ensure that aerospace products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
  6. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
    • Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
  7. Attention to detail and precision in evaluating aerospace components.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  10. Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  11. Knowledge of statistical analysis for quality improvement in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent to 4 to 6 years experience.
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and certifications.
  • Familiarity with precision machining, materials, and manufacturing processes in aerospace.
