We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with prior experience inspecting mechanical parts and composites. The ideal candidate should be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings , inspection plans, and experienced with utilizing various inspection tools and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct source inspection activities at two supplier locations in Wichita, Kansas.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize various inspection methods and tools to verify product integrity and adherence to engineering requirements.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical and composites components.
- Compile comprehensive inspection reports and sign-off sheets.
- Validate equipment calibration and inspection methodology suitability.
- Review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for completeness and compliance.
- Ensure shipping documentation accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and inspection plans.
- Familiarity with inspection tools, CMM programs and visual inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of aerospace or automotive industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to undergo background check
- Possession of a personal vehicle for transportation between supplier sites.
$29 - $31 an hour
Portal to Portal (P2P) rate for any travel time
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($7 per mile driven). Untaxed.
