What to Expect:
This is a 6–9-month contract with full-time hours for the initial 3 months, transitioning to part-time as supplier quality improves. We are seeking a dedicated specialist to join our team in overseeing the quality inspection of electrical components used in aircraft. This role is essential for ensuring these components meet stringent standards for performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting bare printed circuit boards and printed circuit board assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
What You'll Do:
- Testing Oversight: Supervise and support the testing processes for ADS-B radios, ensuring consistent, reliable performance standards are met.
- Board Inspection: Inspect and evaluate PCB boards, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
- Standards and Documentation: Follow industry standards (IPC and J-STD knowledge preferred, though not required) and document findings accurately to support quality tracking and improvement.
What You'll Need:
- Experience in Electronics Quality Assurance: Familiarity with electronics testing and PCB inspection in manufacturing settings.
- IPC/J-STD Certification: IPC 600/IPC 610 or J-STD-001 certification is preferred, or a history of previous certification.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate inspection findings and collaborate with supplier teams to uphold quality.
$28 - $32 an hour
Portal-to-portal rate for any travel time
Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate. Untaxed.
