We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector, Tech III in our Concord California location
 
The Quality Inspector, Tech III typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to the following:
 
Essential Duties:
 
  • Perform incoming inspection on parts according to part drawing on visual and dimension for PCBA and mechanical components using microscopes and various measurement tools to ensure they meet our quality standards and specifications.
  • Following inspection instruction, such as QE128.
  • Document inspection results and maintain inspection records in a clear and organized manner
  • Work with quality engineers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the quality of
  •  incoming materials
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify and resolve issues related to incoming materials
  • Ensure that all inspection activities are performed in accordance with our established quality procedures
  • Stay up to date on industry standards and new technologies related to incoming material inspections
  • Maintain record keeping of incoming inspection record
  • Assist quality engineers on non-conformance containment, documentation, and report generation
  • Assist quality engineers on data collection and recording
  • Inspecting data package, finish good product against the customer order.
  • Conduct production line surveillance audit to verify that the assembly or production line adheres to released procedures and complying with requirements
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports. Complete NCR report when needed.
  • Keep MRB hold records and physical parts and make necessary ERP transactions.
  • Proposing improvements to the production process
  • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
  • Keeping inspection measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products
  • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
  • Assisting in determining the causes of incoming material defects and reworks
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a technical field is preferred
  • Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks)
  • Knowledge of industry standards for PCBA and mechanical components (e.g., IPC, MIL, and J- STD
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team
  • members, and management
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the electronics or manufacturing industry
  • IPC-A-610 Class 3 certification is preferred.
  • Prefer experience working under AS9100 or ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
 
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $25.50-$34.00
