Main Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Set-up mechanical gaging and electrical instrumentation that is to be used for inspection of components and assemblies.
2. Inspect all electrical, mechanical components and complete assemblies to determine compliance to engineering drawings, bills of material (BOM) and specifications.
3. Independently operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) as well as set-up components to be measured.
4. Operate electrical test equipment for inspecting/testing components and assemblies using high voltage measuring instrumentation.
5. Generate Quality Notifications on nonconforming components, inspection documents, checklists and forms.
6. Problem identification/solving of mechanical and electrical component parts and assemblies.
7. Orientating and training of new inspectors to QA department operation, record keeping and daily standard work.
8. Perform manufacturing audits to ensure that manufacturing procedures are properly followed and that products are tested in accordance with approved test plans.
9. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
10. Work closely with the Production Staff to maintain smooth operations through adherence to procedures and all applicable regulatory standards. Notifies supervision if corrective actions are required.
Skills and Qualifications

4. Attention to detail and organization skills
5. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other various gauges
6. Knowledge of quality control tools like ISO 9001:2015, SPC, and Control Plans
7. Ability to obtain ASQ Certification CQI or CQT
Education:
High School Diploma
ASQ Certification or able to achieve the certification within 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
PC Literate with experience in MS Office and databases.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Mathematic ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, instructions and specifications.
Must be knowledgeable and have the skill to set-up and use variable gaging, precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial bore and length gages and multimeters.
ASQ Certification or be able to obtain the certification within 2 years,
Physical and Mental Requirements of this job:
1. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
2. Stand and be mobile while doing the job. This is most of the workday.
3. Must be able to multitask and maintain organization.
4. Must be able to be flexible and be moved to other areas of the plant to perform inspections.
5. Be able to see details with scales on measuring instruments and details on parts.
6. Be able to walk up and down stairs.
7. Work the hours of 10pm to 8am M-W and 8pm to 6am on Thursdays
