Job Summary

The Ramp Supervisor is responsible for overseeing ground handling operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely aircraft turnaround services. The role requires strong leadership, operational knowledge, and adherence to aviation safety regulations to maintain high service standards and operational excellence. This role requires a flexible availability for a 24/7 operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of safety and security for all ramp personnel, equipment, and aircraft according to ATS regulations
• Supervise and coordinate all ramp activities, including aircraft loading/unloading, baggage handling, fueling, and aircraft movement.
• Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job training to improve efficiency and safety awareness.
• Liaise with airline representatives, air traffic control, and other airport personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and operational delays.
• Oversee ground support equipment (GSE) operations, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and availability
• Maintain accurate records of ramp operations, including shift reports, incident reports, and performance logs.
• Manage workforce scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for all flights and support team efforts to meet operational deadlines.
• Handle and resolve any operational challenges that may arise during ramp activities.
• Other duties may be assigned according to operational need

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional aviation-related certifications are a plus.
• A driver’s license is required
• Minimum of 3 years experience in airport ground handling or ramp operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Must pass background checks and airport security clearance requirements.
• Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
• Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
