Senior Airport Planner

Passero Associates’ Rochester, NY office has an exceptional career opportunity for a Senior Airport Planner to work on a broad range of airport master plans, environmental planning, financial planning, airport obstruction analysis, runway justifications, and airport capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Client interfacing position with focus on client service and client management
• Primary contact/ liaison between Airport and Federal Aviation Administration and NYS Department of Transportation, leading ACIP development and strategize capital development needs and special requests
• Lead technical analysis, report writing, coordination/management with other team members, provide quality control reviews.
• Solicit and manage subconsultants work
• Strong ability in technical research and analytic skills is required.
• Strong organization and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) are required.
• Lead advisory meetings, including presentation preparation, attendance and public presentations to municipal boards 
• Active interaction with Agencies 
• Support and educate entry level staff
• Support Business Development and marketing needs

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, transportation, planning, environmental/sustainability or airport management, Master’s/MBA preferred or professional accreditation (ACIP, CM, LEED, or ENV SP).

• 10+ years of airport and/or related planning experience. 
• Proven experience with aviation planning (i.e., forecasting, facility requirements, alternative development, financial analysis and technical drawings) is required. 
• Exposure to environmental planning requirements (i.e., NEPA/SEQRA)
• Experience with airport noise and air quality modeling software is beneficial.
• Existing relationship with FAA, NYADO, and NYSDOT Bureau of Aviation is beneficial
• Proven experience with production of Airport Layout Plan technical drawings is required. 
• Regional travel is required.

Salary -  Discretionary bonuses with a minimum base salary of $85,000 annually
