What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in related role
  • Strong excel capabilities, and experience with large data sets (+10,000 rows)
  • Intellectual curiosity and self-motivation to understand and improve processes
  • Highly organized and pays close attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task competing priorities
  • Understanding of UPA contract and/or other collective bargaining agreements

Strong and timely communication skills both verbally and through written mediums

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Data Analytics or equivalent experience in Airline Management
  • Flight Operations/Air Operations experience or experience with process execution for a unionized work group
  • SQL and data analytics experience
  • Knowledge of Pilot Records

Key Responsibilities:

The Flight Operations Pilot Crew Resources Process and Support Senior Analyst will own and execute critical vacation, training, and movement processes for over 17,000 United pilots. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Analyst will ensure compliance with the pilot contract, provide guidance and support, and address both process execution and pilot-specific inquiries. Additionally, they will be responsible for providing pilot information to other stakeholders such as Pay Compensation, Training Scheduling, Human Factors, ALPA. The Senior Analyst will collaborate within the Crew Resources organization to ensure integrated planning and execution of our pilot planning systems. For this role, it is critical to possess strong organization, time management, and communication skills to effectively manage concurrent processes and ensure timely execution of responsibilities.

  • Responsible for execution, contractual compliance, internal teamwork, and pilot communication for all processes related to vacancy, training, vacation, or other Crew Planning areas
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for stakeholders and pilots by providing informed responses to inquiries, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the contract and Crew Planning policies
  • Identify areas of improvement and automation opportunities for current processes, through excel or similar tools, to save time and reduce manual errors
  • Manage Crew Planning related information in Pilot Records, ensuring it is accurately reflected and is contractually compliant
  • Implement remaining UPA23 contractual provisions into Pilot Records and all other planning processes
