Boeing is looking for Senior Flight Operations Manager to join the Production Flight Operations organization. This position is to oversee, manage and lead the flight operations team.  The successful candidate will work in our North Charleston, SC site. 

As the senior manager, you will oversee production and customer demonstration flights on newly manufactured or completed 787 airplanes in Charleston.  You will also manage engineering flight crew members in the planning and execution of engineering tests. 

The ideal candidate will possess a technical or engineering degree and have a background in functional flight test or experimental flight test on Boeing aircraft.  Demonstrated leadership of small and large teams.  You will also need effective communication skills, the ability to build positive working relationships and have a demonstrated ability to work in matrix organizations with people at all levels.

Position Responsibilities:

• Production Flight Operations oversight

• Engineering Flight Operations oversight

• Personnel Management

• Coordination with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to Boeing

• Plans and conducts production and acceptance test flights

• Perform systems checks on the ground and in-flight on newly manufactured or completed airplanes

• Researches and confirms airplane configuration and status

• Prepares and maintains aircraft flight test procedures

• Demonstrates to the customer that the aircraft meets production standards prior to delivery

• Performs duties as a flight crew member

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or any technical field

• Experience with turbine powered aircraft

• Able to obtain and maintain a valid passport and travel internationally without restriction

• Current FAA Class II medical certificate or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Private or Commercial Pilot License

• 787 Flight Crew experience

Summary Pay Range (Level L): $200,000 – $360,000
