Company 

Our client, a reputable airline in the Asian Pacific region, is currently looking for a Senior Inventory Controller - Business Improvement and Supply Chain to join them as permanent employee. The airline operates an extensive network of destinations and boasts a diverse fleet of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. 

Position

The Senior Inventory Controller - Business Improvement and Supply Chain will be tasked with driving business improvement initiatives and effectively managing the expendables and consumables for the airline fleet. This role encompasses overseeing the entire inventory lifecycle, liaising with manufacturers and suppliers, and implementing business improvement strategies. 

Some of the key responsibilities are: 

  • Driving business improvement initiatives in Inventory Management using LEAN methodologies and principles.
  • Regularly optimising spare re-order levels to ensure operational service levels are achieved at minimal cost.
  • Performing spares and tooling initial provisioning activities. 
  • Continuously identifying cost-drivers and initiating cost mitigation actions.
  • Managing service providers and suppliers to ensure programmes are properly implemented, monitoring KPIs and driving improvement plans.
  • Proactively identifying and managing surplus, excess, or obsolete spares to optimise inventory.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or Logistics and Supply Chain discipline (or a suitable equivalent).
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience working with airlines, MROs, OEMs, or suppliers.
  • Extensive exposure to inventory management, procurement, or maintenance planning.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and process-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Adaptability to change, with a proven ability to identify and drive process improvements.
  • Experience in using LEAN techniques to drive business improvement initiatives.

Terms

The position of Senior Inventory Controller - Business Improvement and Supply Chain carries a basic salary the equivalent of USD $5,000 to $7,400 per month plus a full set of benefits (annual leave, medical insurance, travel benefits, discretionary bonus and profit share).
