Senior Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist (Level 5)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist (Level 5) to support the 737 Quality Program based out of Renton or Seattle, Washington.

A qualified candidate in this role must be willing to work at either of the listed locations and support a 1st shift working schedule, as well as be able to support on 2nd and 3rd shift.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Formulate Training plan for ET/UT Level 2 candidates
  • Instruct candidates for ET/UT Level 2 Certification
  • Conduct and Administer ET/UT Level 2 Certification Testing
  • Assist Level 2 candidates from other work areas with Level 2 certification
  • Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques
  • Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques
  • Develops innovative test processes and equipment
  • Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment
  • Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data
  • Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies
  • Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and weekends if necessary
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
  • Capable of working in confined spaces and fit through a 10X18 oval opening

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Possess ASNT LEVEL 3 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Certification
  • Possess Boeing LEVEL 3 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Certification
  • Possess ASNT LEVEL 3 Eddy Current Testing (ET)
  • Possess Boeing LEVEL 3 Eddy Current Testing (ET)

Union:

This is a union-represented position. In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

Summary pay range: $90,000 - $120,000
