What Will You Be Doing?

The Crew Staffing Intern will work with experienced Crew Staffing Analysts to Collect, compile and analyze data relevant to crew staffing and budgeting to include crew utilization and crew efficiency. Assist manager of crew staffing with development of staffing and budget plans. Coordinate with external hotel business partner on cost analysis and cost control as it relates to crew hotel accommodations, including interaction with union hotel committees. Drive continuous productivity, efficiency and operational performance improvements through analyses related to the staffing and scheduling of Pilots and Flight Attendants. **** This internship is for Spring 2025, 1/1****** - 5/2******, based in Denver, CO.

Essential Functions

  • Generate schedule reports to accurately display Frontier schedules for internal systems and departments using Excel formulas to complete task.
  • Manipulate scheduling software to create new reports and processes that improve scheduling efficiency and communication.
  • Act as a resource when schedule questions arise.
  • Efficient prioritization of daily responsibilities
  • Participate and assist with Schedules Analyst’s responsibilities.

Other Functions

  • Coordinate schedule changes with Marketing, Pricing and Revenue Management.
  • Utilize SQL query to produce historical flight times.
  • Audit documentation regarding minimum connect times, ground times, airport and route-specific constraints and maintenance parameters.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in degree program in business administration, mathematics, statistics, economics, aviation management or similar discipline
  • SQL experience creating and manipulating queries - preferred
  • Interest in analysis, planning and/or airline operations (Operations Control, Airport Operations, Crew Planning/Scheduling, Maintenance Planning/Operations …) - preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MSOffice products (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of creating and running SQL queries
  • Interest in airline planning and scheduling
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft performance
  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts
  • Knowledge of North American geography

Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled

Occasional travel may be required

Close Supervision:  The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions.  Work is checked frequently.
