What Will You Be Doing?

The Aircraft Appearance Supervisor oversees the Aircraft Appearance department’s day-to-day operations.  This includes but is not limited to developing and supervising Aircraft Appearance Agents and Coordinators as well as outside vendors. (as described in the AAPM manual).

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide leadership, direction and on-the-job training to agents and coordinators.
  • Assign and distribute workload to Aircraft Appearance Coordinators and Agents.
  • Monitor employee performance and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Evaluate daily manpower, assign work teams and ensure maximum coverage.
  • Perform daily audit of “Aircraft Security Check” forms.
  • Processing of department time and payroll.
  • Analyze future flight schedules to assist in creating shift bids for department.
  • Ensure adherence to airport and aircraft security regulations and report any violations and/or potential violations to management.
  • Identify possibilities for operational improvements and communicate them to the Mgr, Aircraft Appearance.
  • Monitor employee and aircraft safety and report any hazards or incidents to management.
  • Ensure adherence to airport and aircraft security regulations and report any violations and/or potential violations to management.
  • Serve as liaison between Frontier and contract cleaning in Frontier stations.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments.
  • Monitor and order supplies.
  • Assist the flight crews, coordinators and agents when necessary.

Other Functions:

  • Other duties as assigned by Mgr, Aircraft Appearance

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service experience with an airline
  • 6 months of experience as Aircraft Appearance Coordinator with Frontier
  • Previous supervisory and management experience - required
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Experience with Kronos computer system – required
  • Jet-bridge experience and certification
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain a current US Customs seal

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Capable of delegating work and tracking its progress
  • Able to determine necessary equipment/supplies needed for proper appearance of the plane and an FAA safety audit
  • Must be able to perform ACA duties (coordinator, agent) if operationally necessary
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service at all times and applies problem-solving techniques in difficult passenger or crew situations
  • Ability to lead and motivate Aircraft Appearance Coordinators and Agents in a positive and professional manner    
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a stressful environment
  • Ability to communicate in an effective, calm, and professional manner at all times
  • Good knowledge of Frontier Airlines policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment especially with other supervisors and managers

Salary Range: $43,000 - $67,725
