ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position requires a strong knowledge of Embaer aircraft avionics and electronics systems. The job includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting and general mechanical applications.
Essential Functions Statement (s):
• Responsible for direction of the avionics installation, which pertains to that specific aircraft.
• Responsible for the safety of the department including incidents/accidents, PPE compliance safety concerns, etc.
• Detailing all equipment location or relocation, inspection of all avionics work performed to ensure schematics of which were designed in house where correct from part numbers to electrically functional.
• To make all on-site corrections as required to complete the installation and operation of newly installed equipment.
• To ensure all avionics and aircraft electrical systems were ready for a return to service status.
• Perform CDI inspections as required.
• Manage direct employees, including resolving conflicts, absenteeism, overtime, and employee training and development.
• Provide customer service
• Must be able to interpret wiring diagrams and order parts and components necessary to complete projects
• STC project management and conformity.
• Attend pre and post flight debriefs
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems
• Must be able to perform full functional checkout of avionics systems and provide flight test support for certification and delivery.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education:
High School Graduate, Electronics training classes, Avionics training preferred
Experience:
7 plus years prior experience on corporate aircraft avionics systems maintenance, specifically Embraer.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Corridor

Completion of work orders, FAA paperwork and billing items.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
Routine walking, bending, squatting or sitting.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Basic personal computer operations to include routine access of using a computer and reading electronic and paper documents.
Mental Requirements
Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, including but not limited to FAA, EPA, OSHA, haz mat, etc.
Ability to evaluate and resolve employee relations matters cohesively.
Ability to work well with others in a professional manner to include customers and employees.
Ability to coordinate projects.
Extensive team management skills.
Extensive customer service skills.
Drivers License required required for travel or valid Passport
Working Conditions
The majority of work will be accomplished in an office / hangar environment.
Various positions in and around the aircraft or avionics shop.
