POSITION SUMMARY: Our Supply Chain Department is accepting applications for a Summer Intern to assist in activities within multiple areas to include but not be limited to: Supply Chain/Logistics, Procurement, Planning and Warehouse. You could potentially be performing things like data analysis, forecasting, optimization techniques, resource allocation and much more. This is a great opportunity to apply the skills you've learned in the classroom to real-world experience.

Upon successful completion of an internship position assignment, you will be evaluated for a potential long-term role within the company.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • Ensuring optimal product availability and warehouse support for each aircraft project with activities such as materials scheduling, creating BOM’s, generating reports for material shortages, required/fixed parts, etc
  • Forecasting/Planning and execution of purchases based on planned and unplanned material requirements
  • Manpower and other planning duties, etc
  • Pre-Induction activities involving gathering BOM requirements
  • Interface with internal and external customers as necessary to understand expectations as it relates to asset management and periodic reporting requirements
  • Ensure all Customer Material Activities are operated and maintained in a manner that compiles with both regulatory and customer standards
  • Assist in process improvement and other optimization projects in different areas of Supply Chain
  • Participate in special projects and all other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following focuses: Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Success Factors/Job Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of Supply Chain principles and Logistics reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours a shift. The employee frequently is required to use the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.   Medium work; must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and safety gear.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a post offer non-DOT drug test upon hire.
