Red Sky Personnel is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a background in private jet aviation, to join Oxford. This role is essential to driving efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and parts sales. The Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the Engineering Director and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth integration of supply chain functions with the organisation’s operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Stores Operations
- Manage procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and stores operations to achieve cost-effective and efficient performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for storage facilities.
- Oversee logistics and customs compliance for shipments, maintaining adherence to legal and airworthiness regulations.
- Manage incoming inspection, classification, storage, and tracking of components and materials per manufacturers’ and regulatory standards.
2. Supplier & Contract Management
- Evaluate suppliers of new and used components to ensure cost savings and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Identify opportunities within supplier agreements to drive efficiencies and maximize value for the business.
3. Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Develop supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, emphasizing sustainability and risk management.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Plan and execute risk mitigation strategies, including supplier diversification and contingency planning.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety within supply chain operations.
- Lead accident and incident reporting and corrective actions in response to audit findings.
- Foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance within the stores team.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and mentor the stores team, fostering a high-performance and safety-focused environment.
- Encourage continuous professional development and skills enhancement among team members.
- Monitor performance metrics and manage incident reporting to maintain a responsive and efficient team.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to forecast demand and plan supply chain activities.
- Act as a key advisor to other departments, ensuring alignment and integration with supply chain operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in private jet industry or private aviation.
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain systems, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in supplier performance monitoring.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a safety-conscious environment.
- Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards, including health, safety, and environmental compliance in supply chain operations.

- Competitive salary range: £55,000 - £75,000, with the higher range for candidates with relevant and exceptional experience.
