Head of Supply Chain

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join a leading European Maintenance & Engineering department as the Head of Commercial & Supply Chain. Reporting directly to the Head of Maintenance & Engineering, this role will play a crucial part in shaping the commercial strategy and supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and team cohesion.

Responsibilities
- Act as a Nominated Person for P145 (NP-145) in accordance with aviation regulations
- Lead the commercial strategy and manage strategic supplier relationships
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning for approximately 200 MEUR annually
- Optimize procurement and supply chain operations to enhance cost efficiency- Represent the company in joint commercial projects within the group
- Manage a team of 40-45 FTE

Qualifications
- University degree (Master) in Engineering and/or Business Administration
- Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience in major organizations, preferably within the aviation industry
- Excellent understanding of commercial processes and negotiation projects
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate strategic vision into tangible actions
- Proficient in English (verbal and written);
Dutch and/or French is a plus

Day-to-day
- Overseeing commercial business processes and procurement strategy
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and aviation regulations
- Managing operational procurement and supply chain operations
- Negotiating and managing leasing contracts and maintenance reserves
- Leading financial planning and budgeting processes
- Fostering cross-departmental partnerships and promoting open communication
