Job DescriptionAs an Engineer within the Avionics Engineering team, you will spearhead efforts around avionics product development, analysis and/or project management.
This role grants you the autonomy to lead activities within your discipline, guided by established functional practices and procedures. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and utilize your expertise to execute the design, analysis, and/or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

Essential responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute engineering tasks with an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
- Apply technical judgment and analytical skills to support the design and development of avionics systems, including hardware and software components.
- Gain insights into industry best practices and competitive differentiation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and fostering a culture of open communication and timely feedback.
- Document processes, procedures, and findings, contributing to technical and program reviews.
- Build knowledge of best practices and how the system integrates with other areas; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Execute the design, analysis, evaluation, test and/or integration of avionics systems, including hardware and software components, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and requirements.
- Incorporate LEAN principles into your standard work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college
- At least 5 additional years of experience in an engineering design position
- At least 1 year or more of a professional career break
