What you need to be successful: 

  • A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is helpful
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair.

What you will be doing as an Avionics Technician: 

In this role, you can expect to perform functional testing, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center. Your expertise will ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet.  

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): 

  • Analyze Electrical Malfunctions\: Diagnose routine electrical issues using equipment like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and continuity lights 
  • Perform Minor Repairs\: Replace wires and connectors on standard electrical components 
  • Assist with Complex Repairs\: Support the analysis and repair of more complicated malfunctions under supervisor guidance 
  • Install Components\: Install electrical and electronic components as directed
