Reports to: Assistant Director of Operations

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Writing & Editing:
     Develop, write, and edit technical process documents for Global Crossing Airlines' Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure that all content adheres to established templates, policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of clarity and accuracy.
  2. Document Management & Tracking:
     Maintain and track revisions to processes, procedures, forms, and other technical documentation. Ensure that all changes are accurately reflected in the documentation and are compliant with the latest operational standards.
  3. Content Verification & Updates:
     Review and verify the accuracy of all technical content. Incorporate updates and revisions as necessary, ensuring the documentation reflects current operational and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate initiative and judgment when managing non-routine tasks.
  4. Process & Procedural Documentation:
     Write and edit clear, concise, and comprehensive process and procedural documentation across a variety of functional areas, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  5. OEM Manual Documentation Editing:
     Review and edit technical documentation originated from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, ensuring compatibility with company-specific processes and standards.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
     Coordinate with functional personnel from various departments to gather information and develop accurate and comprehensive technical documentation for processes and procedures.
  7. Additional Responsibilities:
     Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager of Technical Publications, contributing to the continuous improvement of the documentation and publishing processes.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
     A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical writing and documentation experience, with a proven track record in creating and editing process and procedural documentation in a technical environment.
  2. Technical Proficiency:
     Strong proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint. Experience with other document management systems is a plus.
  3. Writing & Editing Expertise:
     Exceptional skills in technical writing, editing, and researching, particularly in process documentation or similar technical content. Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and procedures.
  4. Project Management:
     Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  5. Autonomous Work Style:
     Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and decision-making abilities, particularly in non-routine or complex situations.
