Toolshop Technician

Introduction

Fokker Landing Gear is looking for a Toolshop Technician to join its aerospace team. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and calibrating tools and machinery essential for the production of aerospace components. You will work in a technical environment where precision and quality are of utmost importance. If you have tool management experience and enjoy working in a team focused on technical excellence, this position is for you.

Function

• Working with your colleagues to discuss and determine schedules related to ongoing projects
• Assembling and registering tool sets based on planning
• Issuing toolsets for installation by operators
• Checking tool sets for wear and measuring with the Zoller Measuring Machine
• Determine if items need to be maintained, replaced or refurbished
• Checking spare and consumable parts in the warehouse
• Verify completeness of tool sets and store in storage tower
• Checking orders and revisions with external parties

Who are you?

• You have a technical background, preferably in the metal industry, with Technical College level
• You have experience with computer software, preferably a logistics system, and various measuring instruments and cutting tools
• You have a keen eye for quality and cost, and work accurately
• You take pride in the work you deliver and enjoy communicating with colleagues and external vendors
• Good command of the English language, both oral and written
• Experience with turning and milling is a plus
