Who we are and what we're looking for:
Okulo Aerospace is an early-stage startup based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Combining renewable energy and precision engineering, we are currently developing solar-electric hybrid aerial platforms that will revolutionize aerial data acquisition. We envision a world where drones can fly continuously without having to land at all and we are currently in the first step towards that realizing that vision. Founded by alumni from Purdue University (USA) and NIT-Trichy (India) with extensive research background and with a vision to nurture great teams and develop solutions for hard problems, we are looking at joining hands with the next generation of talented individuals looking to embark on this exciting journey. We are looking for a motivated UAV Intern to support our flight operations and testing team. As an intern, you will be involved in the planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests. Your responsibilities will include:
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed B.E/B.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, EC, or related fields
- Basic understanding of aerodynamics and aircraft principles
- Interest in UAVs and aeromodelling, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction from experienced team members
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in procedural piloting from an R&D and testing standpoint
- Planning and discussing test lists before flights
- Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting of UAVs
- Creating and maintaining performance logs, flight logs, and checklists
- Evaluating testing procedures and gauging risks involved in testing
