Unarmed Security Officer Duties and responsibilities:
- The main functions of an Unarmed Security Officer include maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing specific security requested services to our clients in a professional manner.
- Promote safety by being alert and observant and report any hazards or unusual and strange activity around designated post.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as abiding the standardized operating procedures.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and safe practices.
- Interact with clients, passengers, employees, and the public in a professional manner. All employees MUST be friendly, welcoming and customer service oriented.
- This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have effective oral communication skills.
- All posts are to be executed while standing upright, no sitting is allowed, no leaning, or crouched postures. Must be able and willing to stand for 8 hours.
- May be exposed to different weather conditions.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Operational needs and certifications.
- May be exposed to bending, twisting when performing screening (handheld metal detector) functions.
- May be exposed to loud noises or fumes/odors on the airport operations area (AOA).
- Follow all Prosegur, TSA, and LAX/LAWA rules and regulations.
Unarmed Crowd Control Greeter Officer Duties and responsibilities:
- The main functions of a CC officer are to control, monitor and direct passenger traffic to reduce passenger waiting time at the TSA checkpoints. CC agents provide information as needed and answer questions to all clients/passengers/stakeholders.
- All employees MUST be friendly, welcoming and customer service oriented.
- CC officer must stand at their assigned post alert and observant of all the activity around them, maintaining a safe and secure area.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as abiding the standardized operating procedures.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and safe practices.
- CC officers are to report any strange or unusual activity to the Lead on duty immediately.
- All posts are to be executed while standing upright, no sitting is allowed, no leaning, or crouched postures. Must be able and willing to stand for 8 hours.
- May be exposed to different weather conditions.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Operational needs and certifications.
- Follow all Prosegur, TSA, and LAX/LAWA rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must obtain or be willing to obtain a security guard card
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in basic English
- Capable of following given instructions and accepting professional feedback
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- Knowledge of security operations and procedure
- Extremely outgoing individuals with great customer service and leadership skills
- Must be able to communicate with all customers well
